Soil & Herbage Testing – Pacific Biofert

Pacific Biofert aims to assist farmers/growers in developing the right fertiliser strategy for their requirements through soil and herbage testing. Testing provides the ability for us to understand what both soil and plants require by macro & micro-nutrients level results. Testing both soil and herbage helps illustrate the interaction between the soil and plants.

Soil testing:

– To help optimize productivity
– 75 mm or 150 mm depths; depending on soil use (pasture or cropping)
– Keeps track of fertility trends
– Shows the effectiveness of previous fertiliser applications
– Provide different soil analysis depending of farmers/growers needs

Herbage testing:

– To determine which nutrient is affecting deficiency symptoms observed in a crop
– Shows nutrients in crop at certain stages of plant development
– Monitors a crops ability to take up nutrients
– Monitors what minerals animals are absorbing from feed
– May help determine a crops relative yield
