Pacific Biofert Wins National Pacific Business Award
Award-winning organic fertiliser company recognised for innovation, resilience, and family values.

Pacific Biofert is proud to have been named the winner of the 2018 ATEED Pacific Business Award at the 11th National Pacific Business Trust Awards. This recognition celebrates our long-standing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and service within New Zealand’s agricultural sector.
For more than 30 years, Pacific Biofert has been supplying high-quality fertiliser products to farmers, growers, and horticultural businesses across New Zealand. As one of the pioneers of organic fertiliser production in the country, we have been continuously certified by BioGro NZ since 1987, making us the longest-standing BioGro-certified fertiliser company in New Zealand.
Operating a full supply chain – from sourcing raw materials, through processing and value-add, right to delivery at the customer’s door – ensures quality and reliability at every step. Beyond New Zealand, our internationally patented processes and products are also exported overseas, extending our innovation to global markets.
What sets Pacific Biofert apart is our customer-focused, agile approach in a highly monopolised fertiliser market. We take the time to understand our customers’ unique challenges and deliver holistic solutions that not only feed the soil but also build long-term soil health, reduce nutrient losses, and improve productivity.
Biofert began as a family business, built on the vision and perseverance of its founders, it has since grown into a recognised leader in sustainable fertiliser solutions. That same pioneering spirit continues to guide our mission to support New Zealand’s farmers, growers, and home gardeners with cost-effective, environmentally responsible products.
